A milestone birthday deserves a milestone journey, and Lynette’s 60th birthday trip to Vietnam was exactly that — cooking classes, the Mekong Delta, and one well-handled typhoon along the way. From our first chat, I knew I wanted to make this one truly meaningful.

Planning a 60th birthday trip to Vietnam around what matters
When I first connected with Lynette, I could tell straight away that this journey should be a meaningful one. She found us on Facebook and, like many first-time travellers to Vietnam, wasn’t quite sure what to expect. That’s completely natural — Vietnam is exciting and full of surprises, but the right support makes all the difference.

When a typhoon changed the plan
One of the most important parts of my job is being flexible, because travel doesn’t always go exactly as planned. During their time in Da Nang, a typhoon affected the region, and they decided it was best to leave a day earlier and spend an extra day in Ho Chi Minh City. I immediately adjusted their schedule, arranged new transfers, and made the change seamless.
Lynette missed her original cooking class in Da Nang because of the weather — but I didn’t want her to lose that experience. So I quickly organised a replacement cooking class in Ho Chi Minh City instead, so she could still enjoy one of the highlights she was most looking forward to.
